Results Border League Cross Country
Sunday 2nd March 2014 – Camberley

Congratulations to everyone who competed for Young Athletes Club in the Border League cross countries this winter. We had the last race over a hilly woodland course at Camberley last Sunday 2nd March and the final results meant a successful conclusion to the 4 race series for YAC.

U9 Girls Team result 1st!! First team trophy for YAC.

We won the trophy for U9 girls with a storming finish from Charlotte Burnham who can 2nd overall.  Ayla Darcy was 4th and Katie Sakaria 5th overall and Libby Daunter came 8th in the race so we really took the top places in this age group.

U9 Boys Team result 2nd – one point short of a win from Bracknell
Our top runner was Leon Lafreniere who came 4th overall.
Nicholas Didaskalou who is new to YAC came in 20th position on Sunday followed by Tom Elliott 22nd and Luke Stables 24th.

U11 Girls Team result 3rd
Eliza Sutton in 5th was our top placer last Sunday with Millie Cant coming close in 7th and Daisy Bloxham in 28th.
Maddie Broughton and Silvia Harrop Lopes ran their first cross country to take 43rd and 55th places.

U11 Boys Team result 6th
Always very competitive, the U11s were strongly represented by Mats Lindstrom in 12th and Adam Kirby in 14th. Chris Baker came 38th and Henry Moodie 47th to make up the team placings.

All athletes wishing to run need only to send us an email to confirm they wish to attend. There is no limit to numbers taking part. We will not send out any further individual emails to athletes.

This is a change of venue (Not Lightwater)

All clubs are asked to help.
YAC to supply 2 course marshalls. We are asking parents to help.

Please can we have a couple of volunteers to help be a course marshall – this means wearing a hi-viz top and standing at a point on the course to guide athletes.
We would like 2 volunteers for the U9s and U11s races ie

What to do at the event
Please arrive an hour before your race and report to the coach at the blue YAC flag.
You will get your race number from your coach. This should be pinned on the front of your
YAC t shirt. You should wear suitable warm clothing over your YAC T shirt and always wear trainers to warm up. Spikes may be worn for the race if you have them or remain in training shoes. Please bring a drink and a snack.

Results Border League Cross Country
Match 3 Sunday 2nd February 2014 –  Farnborough


Results have now arrived, congratulations to our athletes, in particular our U9s teams.
Boys U9 and Girls U9 both came first so YAC is leading the league in the U9s section.
U11s face tough competition but we are doing well in 9th Boys U11 and 4th place Girls. Please see all individual results in the Latest News.

There are 2 car parks as shown on the map. There will be signs on the road for both entrances and marshals to assist in parking.

Refreshments and toilets are located in the club building. First Aid will be present at the start/finish area
