The competition format will be as in previous years and we will post more information as it becomes available.

hosted by G&G and YAC . We want to see lots of blue YAC vests since this is our home match!

Race Details & Timings stay the same
All matches to be on Sundays, with the first race at 11am
There will be separate races for all age groups, boys and girls
Times, order of races and guidance on distances are as follows:
11.00 am Under 9 Girls Maximum 1400m
11.10 am Under 9 Boys Maximum 1400m
11.20 am Under 11 Girls About 1700m
11.35 am Under 11 Boys About 2500m
11.50 am Under 13 Girls About 2500m
12.05 pm Under 13 Boys About 3000m
12.20 pm Under 15 Girls About 3000m
12.35 pm Under 15 Boys About 4000m
We have had a lot of interest in taking part from our athletes across all the age groups, boys and girls.

Athletes must compete in YAC running vests or t shirts
Parents note: all our athletes must wear YAC running vest (£15) or a long sleeved t shirt (£7) or short sleeved t shirt (£5) to compete.
Please ensure you see Zoe (Mondays) or Angela (Fridays to purchase kit if you do not have it.

Volunteers to help at events will be required. If your child is keen to participate in the Cross Country events then please also consider if you can volunteer to help. We will need assistant Team Managers and Marshalls. As joint hosts at Stoke Park there will be lots of opportunities to assist. Border league Results Cross country Match 2 at Lightwater – Sunday 7th December 2014
Young Athletes Club had 29 athletes running in the second Border league cross country of the season held at Lightwater last Sunday. The sun came out after a grey start and all athletes tried their best on the sandy, stony, undulating course.
Young Athletes Club is now lying in 4th position in U9 Boys, U11 Boys and U11 Girls. However, our U9 Girls are in 2nd place so we hope we can stay there for the next 2 matches.

Katie Sakaria again raced to a fine win out of 46 athletes so she is looking good for a top spot placing overall.
Emily Burke running her first Border League came an excellent 3rd so very competitive between our top two girls.
Connie Mortimer was 11th
Melissa Beaghan also new to the Border League took 28th place

Our best finisher this time was Jack Burke (clearly the Burke children are strong cross country athletes) in 17th out of 38 boys.
Kian Hooker gave Jack a run for his money coming just behind him in 18th

Guildford must be delighted to have gained athletes from Young Athletes Club in the form of Susie Lecoutre another impressive 1st with Eliza Sutton 8th and Phoebe Matravers 12th.
As a result G&G came 1st team overall in this tough age group with 90 finishers.
YAC athletes also did well with 3 girls coming in the finish together;

First home for YAC was Leon Lafreniere with a jump up to 14th place
Nicholas Didaskalou close on his heels in 17th

Border league Results Cross country at Basingstoke – Sunday 9th November 2014
Young Athletes Club had 35 athletes running in the first Border league cross country of the season held at Basingstoke last Sunday. We were pleased to have full teams in both the under 9s and the under 11s. In each age group, Young athletes Club managed to come 3rd team with good individual results.
We congratulate all our athletes for taking part!
